After vowing that we would never do it again, someone decided we should have another go at the Snowdonia Challenge.
This time we are heading to Wales on Saturday 27th June to:
Cycle 40 miles
Canoe Llyn Gwynant
Last time this was done over two days, this time, foolishly, we’re completing this in one day (Are we wise?) We were shattered last time so this time will probably be worse in many ways. The cycling is split into two legs of 20 miles, so when you think the hard bit of climbing Snowdon is done, it’s time to start pedalling again.
This is where you, our readers, come in. Obviously we want to raise money for a local charity in Northern Ireland but we would like your suggestions as to who we should support. You can pass on your suggestions via our Contact Us page or via Johnston Campbell’s Facebook page. Once we know which deserving cause you think we should support we will set up somewhere for you to provide us with support.
The fastest time for the Snowdonia challenge is 5hrs 41mins, set last year. We won’t threaten that I’m sure, but we’ll give our best!
