It’s fantastic to celebrate some success in these difficult times. Ray Hall our Operations manager has just achieved his chartered status presented by Tom Doran of the Chartered Management Institute. This has been no insignificant feat as during his study he has moved house and started a family!
I asked Ray to tell me about what he’s been doing, and how it will help him in his role at Johnston Campbell?
“Since joining Johnston Campbell in 2007, I have been given the foundation to grow and develop as a person, not only in the company with encouragement and guidance but also by studying for new qualifications,” Ray said.
“Recently in the last few years, I have gained my HND in Business which lead to a BSc Honours Business degree. I then undertook the PRINCE 2 project management course and successfully completing which then lead me to my next goal. I enjoy learning new things and enrolled on the Chartered Management course, successfully gaining my Chartered Manager Status, and becoming a member of the CMI” (Chartered Management Institute).
I asked what was involved in getting his chartered status?
“To gain this recognition, I had to submit a piece of work followed with a telephone interview and ending with a face to face interview with an assessor to demonstrate how different qualities in my job role would allow me to be considered as a Chartered Manager. The different areas included my achievements and contributions, leading people on various projects, managing change as it arises, identifying my key learnings and explaining about my future learnings.”
“I am extremely pleased with what I have achieved, and I am now contemplating my next area of study as I seemed to have grown a passion for gaining qualifications.”
We wish Ray all the luck in whatever qualifications he chooses next.
